Answering reader mail – part 13

Dear Chris,

Over the past 5 years, I’ve thought that by avoiding the news and most culture, I was improving myself and focusing on more intellectual pursuits, staying home and reading.  But lately, I’ve started to feel like I’m missing out on new experiences. I need to get out more and see the world, go to restaurants, parties. I need to give more high fives and hugs.  I need to laugh so hard I cough all over the place. And I need to travel. Where do you suggest I travel?

Hi Francois,

Thanks for the question.  I can tell you really do a great job at avoiding the news.  Do a quick google search for “CORONAVIRUS” or “TRUMP VS. CUOMO” or “ CUOMO PRESIDENT?” or just visit any news site, and you’ll see what I mean.  Now is not the time to do literally anything you mentioned. Maybe the next virus will only attack people who stay home too much, so then you’ll be forced to go outside?  I hope so, for your sake. Until then, I don’t know what to tell you.

Warm regards and stay safe,

Chris
